Women's Equip Classes

Women's Equip-01.jpg

We are excited to offer three Equip classes for women this winter. Materials for each class will cost $13, due at registration. See the descriptions below for all the information you need to know about each class!

*PLEASE NOTE* - Childcare is FULL for all ages.

LIGHT FOR MY PATH

Carmel Campus:
Wednesdays from 9:30-11:00am beginning January 9 and ending March 6
Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm beginning January 16 and ending March 13

Cost: $13

Have you ever desired to understand God better, but you don’t know where to start in the Bible or how to take passages apart once you tried? The problem often is that we have never been taught how to explore the depths of God’s Word on our own. As we grow in our relationship with God, it is vital to learn how to dig into His Word for ourselves and have the confidence that any believer can understand it. So whether you are a seasoned veteran or a new believer, this women’s Equip study is for you. Light to My Path, written by Laura White, is an 8 week study where you will learn, practice and use 6 different Bible study methods to take apart and glean from the book of Colossians. Begin this new year with a renewed commitment to God’s Word!

NO OTHER GODS

Carmel Campus:
Wednesdays from 9:30-11:00am beginning January 9 and ending March 6

Cost: $13

We are excited to offer this study by Kelly Minter on Wednesday mornings this fall!

"Often, idols are obvious—money, power, fame. But subtler idols can sometimes take the form of sweet loved ones, Instagramable interiors, and busy seasons of ministry. But if your heart is prioritizing any of those pursuits before God, they are taking up space meant for Him alone.

In this 8-session study, learn to identify the functional gods you are serving daily and the lies they tell. Only when you learn to dethrone modern-day idols can you pursue a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus.

*Description taken from Kelly Minter’s Website

This class will cover chapter 1 during the first session. Books will be available at the church one week before class and can be picked up on Sunday, January 6.

CHILDCARE:

Childcare will be available for children 5 and under for the morning classes only.
Cost: $20/child, $40 maximum (non-refundable, due at registration)

*PLEASE NOTE* - Childcare is FULL for all ages.

Women's EQUIP: Consider Jesus (evenings)

women's equip web.jpg

Doing an inductive study of any portion of Scripture is like the heart-pounding, muscle-straining, exhilarating rush of a wilderness trek at 7,000 feet above sea-level. The clear, pine-scented air is brisk and bracing. Your booted feet log in the miles over wildly beautiful terrain, and at the end of it, you might be a little exhausted, but you cannot wait to do it again.

The book of Hebrews, like all of Scripture, is teeming with truth that we need to hear, understand, and apply. If you are in Christ (meaning: if you have trusted in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as your means to have peace with God and are now a part of his family), then you have all the tools you need to do this study. You have been given a new heart of flesh in place of your old heart of stone (Ezekiel 36), you have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), and you have been given the Holy Spirit (John 14:26).

This class will meet on Wednesday evenings beginning January 24 and ending April 18 with no class on February 14 or April 4. We will study the book of Hebrews chapter by chapter, doing homework throughout the week and then enjoying group teaching and small group discussion as we gather on Wednesday mornings. The teaching time during our evening class will be streamed from our morning class the prior week. Cost of this class is $10 to cover the cost of materials.

Due to limited childcare availability, we are asking mothers to seek other options before requesting childcare. If a lack of childcare would prevent you from joining this class, we are happy to assist - just let us know on the form below. Cost of childcare is $20/child with a maximum of $40/family.

Registration for this class is now closed.

Trust Him: Harvest Women's Retreat

Trust Him: Harvest Women's Retreat

What does it mean to truly and completely trust the Lord? That is the question we hope to answer on our fall retreat this September 22-23.

We will spend the weekend hearing powerful messages from Pam Borenstein, worshiping and deepening relationships with other Harvest women. This is going to be an incredible weekend and we hope to see you there!

HOUSING OPTIONS:

Hotel Style Lodging: Rooms include two queen beds and a pull-out sofa bed (size double). Each of these rooms has a refrigerator, television, heat, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. Two to three women will be assigned per room. Room assignments will depend on the total number of room requests. We will do our best to accommodate all roommate requests.

Dormitory Style Lodging: Dormitories are furnished with bunk beds, large bathrooms with multiple private showers, bathroom stalls, and sinks. Each dorm is equipped with its own air-conditioner and heater. This is your opportunity to re-live your childhood and all its church-camp glory! Who wants top bunk!?!?!

Registration Only: Camp Camby is located on the southwest side of 465, 10740 E. Cty. Rd. 700 S. It is approximately 40 miles from Harvest North Indy's Carmel campus and 55 miles from Harvest North Indy's Anderson campus. You are more than welcome to drive home and sleep in your own bed. Please note that there is no discount for only attending one day.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Pam Borinstein has been married to Bill Borinstein, Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in North Phoenix, for 27 years.  They have 3 boys, Andrew 33, Blake 25, and Brett 21.  She has taught women’s bible studies for the past 19 years and serves as a Biblical Counselor at Harvest.

Pam was born and raised for 40 years in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She had been married and divorced twice before she met Bill.  They met in 1990, and married September 14, 1990.  In 1997, she and Bill moved to Dallas, Texas where they were invited to church for the first time to a Christmas Eve Service.  It was the first time she had ever heard the gospel, and January 11, 1998, both Pam and Bill gave their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Prior to her salvation, Pam was the owner of a large construction and development company, along with multiple other businesses she owned with her husband Bill, including restaurants.  Everything about her and Bill’s life began to change after their salvation, and within 2 years, she had left the workplace and was a full time mother and wife.

She never dreamed she would be a Pastor’s wife!  She would seem to be the least likely candidate the Lord would choose.  The Lord has led them down roads they could never have imagined, and in 2008 they left their home and church family in Dallas, as her husband Bill was called to be the Senior Pastor for Harvest Bible Chapel North Phoenix, a church plant in Arizona. The Lord has grown the church from about 80 people, to over 1100 in the 9 years they have lived here.  Harvest North Phoenix has also planted 4 other Harvest churches in the Phoenix area, 3 in California, and also in Mexico City, Moldova and India.  To God be the glory!

Women's Equip Class

God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, and incomprehensible.  We're not. And that's a good thing! Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God. But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone.  This fall our Women’s Equip class will study Jen Wilkin’s book, None Like Him, combined with weekly teaching by Laura White to call us to embrace our limits as a means of glorifying God's limitless power.  We will celebrate both the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God and the joy it is to respond to God within each of those attributes.

This class will take place Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 from September 13 – November 15. Books can purchased on Amazon for $8.95.

Registration for this class is closed. Make sure you register for our Women's Retreat September 22-23rd!
