GET TO KNOW US
There’s no doubt that God has a plan for Harvest North Indy. After He planted the vision in the hearts of Pastor Brian White, his wife Laura, and several families on the north side of Indy in the fall of 2006, the group began praying and working toward planting Harvest Bible Chapel North Indy. We launched our first worship service on September 9, 2007 at Carmel High School with the mission to glorify God by making disciples of all nations. With each passing month, the need for a church that combined bold, verse-by-verse preaching with passionate worship was clear as hundreds of people joined the Harvest family. God has continued to bless us and today it is a thriving and growing community of believers committed to intentional discipleship, local and global outreach, and purposeful church planting. After years of meeting in various schools in Hamilton County, Harvest North Indy moved to its current home on River Road in the northeast part of Carmel, Indiana. In April 2017, Harvest launched its first campus at Anderson High School where a community of believers meets together weekly for worship.
Since our church’s birth, God has been writing a story distinct from other churches and ministries who shared our name, Harvest Bible Chapel. We believe the next chapter of our story is filled with opportunity and broad influence. Choosing a new name and identity for our church allows us to be clear with our own character, values and impact in a way that is historically informed and future minded.
On September 15th, 2019, the 12th year after our church’s launch, Harvest Bible Chapel North Indy joyfully and confidently announced it will simply be called…Harvest Church.
HARVEST BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
In 2003, Harvest Bible Fellowship was formed to plant Harvest Bible Chapels in local contexts around the world. As the 20th church plant of HBF, Harvest North Indy was privileged to partner with these other Harvest churches as part of this Fellowship for over ten years. We gladly continue our focus of ministry on some of the key priorities that we learned as part of HBF and we are thankful for this season of ministry in the life of our church. Harvest Bible Fellowship concluded its operations as an organization in the summer of 2017.
Great Commission Collective
Believing that partnership in Great Commission work is an essential value in our context and for the accomplishment of mission, Harvest North Indy was one of the first churches to join the newly formed Great Commission Collective. The mission of GC Collective is “to glorify God by planting, strengthening and multiplying Great Commission churches around the world.” As an international family of churches, the Collective is committed to helping churches become worshiping and sending churches who value the distinctives of fervent prayer, bold expository preaching, passionate worship, purposeful disciple-making, courageous evangelism and strategic church planting. Since its launch in August 2017, the GC Collective has grown to a partnership of over 120 churches worldwide.
