Position Reports to: Pastor of Worship and Production

Status: Full-Time

Salary and Benefits:

Position Objective:
This position will support the mission of Harvest Church through leadership of music and production teams serving at the Westfield campus.

About Harvest Church:
Launched in the Spring of 2007 with a mission to “Glorify God by making disciples of all nations”, Harvest has grown from its founding core group of 55 people to a congregation of over 1400 people each weekend. 

The church is committed to passionate and fervent worship of Jesus fueled by the proclamation, study and application of the Word of God.  It’s ministry of making disciples is anchored in a Discipleship Pathway that directs people to Follow Christ, Grow Together, Disciple Others and Reach the World. Multiplication and commissioning disciples locally through church planting and globally through missions is an important part of kingdom work at Harvest. 

Spiritual and Character Qualifications:

  • Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing personal relationship with Him

  • High moral integrity consistent with the Biblical qualifications for church leaders as outlined in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-5)

  • Commitment to the mission, doctrine, vision, and philosophy of Harvest Church

  • Willingness to become a covenant member of Harvest church and work under the direction of the Elders and Senior Pastoral Leaders

  • Self-starter with drive, passion, and initiative

  • Teachable spirit with a desire to be held accountable

  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively

  • Ministry partner willing to voice concern and disagreement in a respectable way while following accepted relationships of authority, responsibility and leadership

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in the areas of worship leadership and volunteer development

  • Proficient in playing guitar and/or piano with the ability to lead while playing

  • Ability to train and develop other musicians and vocalists

  • Skilled in the use of technology in worship and in the use of sound, lighting, computers, visual media, and video projection

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside worship pastor to plan, schedule, and lead worship for weekend services

  • Leading the worship team by planning activities, rehearsals, set expectations, and scheduling team members as necessary to accomplish worship in weekend services effectively

  • Building a high-quality worship ministry by recruiting, developing, and directing instrumentalists and vocalists, fostering their growth and talents

  • Assisting in the planning and leading of worship for special events outside of weekend services, bringing worship to multiple ministries within Harvest Church

  • Oversee the portable setup of worship and production equipment each week

  • Setting annual goals that align with the overall mission, vision, and church-wide annual goals.

  • Assist in overseeing the training of student worship alongside worship pastor

  • Responsible for working alongside production coordinator to complete worship center stage design and implementation

  • Construct, submit for approval and manage annual worship/production budget
